Water features play a significant role in the design of <strong>Terranova</strong>; two lakes were added to the neighborhood that borders an existing golf course lake. Each lake has a fountain, and one lake is two-tired with a natural ledge rock spillway.</p>
<p>There are are five different floor plans at <strong>Terranova</strong> each reminiscent of Old World Italian villas, with architectural details such as barrel tile roofs, arched windows and stone accents. Among the features included in all of the homes are custom designed pools with paver decks and structured wiring with voice communication to the front door, dedicated lines for fax, satellite or internet access.</p>

<p>Here are several ways to make the space overhead seem loftier.</p>
<h3>Designer Tricks for Small Rooms</h3>
<p>• Raise the doorways at least six inches.</p>
<p>• Hang drapes from ceiling to floor.</p>
<p>• Paint the base molding, walls and crown molding all the same color.</p>
<p>• Install vertical mirrors and tall floor lamps.</p>
<p>• Remove about 20 percent of what you think is necessary in a room. .</p>
<p>• Lay tile on the diagonal. It will visually add width to a narrow space.</p>
<p>• Consider a skylight.</p>
<p>• A floor-to-ceiling mirror visually doubles the volume of a room.</p>
<p>• A single big piece of impressive furniture makes a small space grand.</p>
<p>• High base moldings make walls seem taller, like a woman in high heels.</p>
<p>• Invest in very good lighting.</p>
<p>• Avoid displaying small objects. Use big, sculptural pieces for accents.</p>
<p>• Upholster furniture in light shades—buttercream, natural linen, fawn.</p>
<p>• Leave some empty spaces. It is restful and visually increases volume.</p>
<h3>Designer Tricks for Large Rooms</h3>
<p>• A sofa will appear taller with large toss pillows lined up along the</p>
<p>inside back.</p>
<p>• Hang a collection of quilts. This works especially well in a double-</p>
<p>volume room ringed by an upstairs open gallery.</p>
<p>• Commission a mural or trompe l’oeil scene to be painted on a wall to</p>
<p>raise it or on the ceiling to bring the ceiling down a bit.</p>
<p>• Group or “gang” three to five bookcases into a single massive unit.</p>
<p>Top it with a lavish arrangement of dried flowers, greens and vines.</p>
<p>• Hang a big vertical picture above the sofa and group two rows of</p>
<p>smaller art works on either side.</p>
<p>• Create a horizontal band around the room at the height you want the</p>
<p>eye to stop its upward glance. This can be done with molding, shelving,</p>
<p>artwork, even a border of paint or wallpaper. The idea is to visually</p>
<p>lower the ceiling.</p>
<p>• Investigate bold, dramatic colors for the walls and patterns for the</p>
<p>window treatments. A big room can take impressive colors and large</p>
<p>scaled patterns.</p>
<p>• Faux trees of varying heights grouped together in a corner instantly fill</p>
<p>a space and help even out the scale of the furniture.</p>
<p>• If you are moving from a home of 8 foot ceilings to a home of 15 foot</p>
<p>ceilings, realize that you are just going to have to buy some new</p>
<p>furniture. Scale and proportion demand it.</p>
<p>• Walk tall. Assertive posture says you own the room, not the other way around.</p>

<p>&#8220;Majority rule&#8221; is an essential part of a democracy. But what of the rights of minorities? Do minorities suffer over the constant winning of majority votes?</p>
<p>The new South Africa calls itself a &#8216;democracy&#8217; and clearly has &#8220;Majority rule&#8221; as an integral part of its government educational system, where the South African Government pays the salaries for teachers that are allowed to promote a specific religion.</p>
<p>In the case of the public school I attended about 30 years ago, <a title="Dale College" href="www.dalecollege.co.za" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Dale College</a>, the Christian religion was promoted and still is today in 2013. This promotion of a single religion, by a government school, was unfair then and still is today, even after the removal of Apartheid. Minority religions are still oppressed by the &#8220;tyranny of the majority&#8221; in the absence of legal protections of individual or group rights.</p>
<p>In America, the constitution protects minority religions in public schools. The constitution forbids the promotion of a single religion in schools. The &#8216;separation of church and state&#8217; is the rule and not the exception.</p>
<p>While today South African Christians still see no wrong doing with the South African government paying the salaries of teachers, who promote a single religion in public schools, how would those same South Africans feel if those same schools changed from supporting a Christian ethos, to say an Islamic ethos? They would not like it at all and would demand a change of the law. But at that point it would be too late. Islamic schools would sprout up all over South Africa, all consistent with the present law and South African schools will change from Christian to Islam overnight, and it would be legal.</p>
<p>I have personally appealed to the present South African Minister of Education to review this policy and make the necessary changes now, before potential religious upheaval starts in South Africa.</p>

Also read for yourself the law regarding <a href="http://www.info.gov.za/acts/1996/a84-96.pdf" rel="nofollow">public schools in South Africa</a> is located. The present system in South African is not fair. Those subjected to the horrors of the apartheid system should know that and should be sensitive to that, but have remained silent and continue to promote and oppressive system in the laws that govern present day South Africa.</p>

<p>Dale College remains a State School. There were various education models relating to Government funding, that were developed / implemented over the years. Dale is known as a Section 21 Company, ex Model C school. The State provides for the salary of 18 Educators and 2 non-Educators. The SGB employ 12 Educators; 5 non-professional staff; 19 non-Educator staff.</p>
<p>The School has a Christian ethos. Although by far the majority of “messages” reflect Christianity, this need not necessarily be cast in stone. Other religions may also give a “message”. The Hostel is similar to the School in this regard</p>
<p>Dale Junior also follows a similar pattern.</p>

<p>Lawrence and Ynez Kates, a Jewish couple was denied Port Royal Club membership in March of 1979 when they bought a home in Naples most exclusive district, received $200,000 in an out-of-court settlement of their $30 million federal suit against the club, which agreed to change its membership rules, Miami attorney Richard Arnold said.</p>
<p>According to court records, prospective homebuyers, usually a man and his wife, would have personal interviews with committee members. The buyers would answer questions about finances, business backgrounds and various other personal matters. Buyers were told they would be contacted later with the committee decision.</p>
<p>Arnold said club members never approved new members by majority vote. The decisions were left to a 10- to 12- member admissions committee that didn’t know it was violating housing laws.</p>
<p>“We found that at least 17 families, including three that were Jewish who were denied membership,” Arnold said. “They turned people down because of the clothing they wore. One woman said she didn’t like the looks of an applicant’s face. All three Jewish families were turned down in 1977-79.”</p>
<p>“The club had early legal advise that it was private. Later, the club realized it had discriminated against Mr. Kates and others,” Arnold said. “There was a trend of difficulty for people of minority groups who applied for membership as they bought Port Royal homes.”</p>
<p>Mr. Kates maintained, “The Port Royal Club is not, never was, nor is intended to be a private club. It is a common facility for all property owners.” Mr. Kates said, “The suit was a lesson in geography. Port Royal Club membership could not be a requirement for Port Royal home ownership because the community is part of the city, not a private club in itself.”</p>
<p>The head of one Jewish family, denied membership still lives in Naples. He said, “I think this is a great victory” and “I’m glad Naples has come to the point where we may live without religious persecution.”</p>

<p>Please be aware that I served nine years on the Pelican Bay Services Division, when 50+ acres of mangroves in the 540 acre NRPA were dying, and the County washed its hands on this serious and potentially dangerous health hazard. Thus the PBSD obtained the necessary ten Year Permit in 1998 and made the first dredging in 1999. When the Pemit was about to expire in 2008 the PBSD began the necessary process to obtain a new Ten Year Permit. At this point the County intervened &#8211; and you must know no new Permit was approved by the necessary governmental authorities during the intervening years that the County was trying to obtain a new Permit.</p>
<p>That is when the BCC determined to put the problem and possible solution back into the hands of the PBSD in December 2012. Subsequently the PBSD filed all the necessary paperwork correctly and promptly with the result that within 34 days after submitting the documentation the Permit (Nationwide #3) was obtained. Commissioner Hiller also saw to it that the necessary equipment was already on the beach when the actual document arrived in Naples.</p>
<p>Years ago I already spoke to the CZM about a solution which would satisfy the residents of Seagate and the city of Naples, and would not require any &#8220;interference&#8221; from Pelican Bay. The goal of the Seagate residents is to have direct deep water access to the Gulf. Even if you dig the pass to 100 feet width and a depth of 10 feet, you will never be able to obtain the necessary permits from the authorities to deepen Outer (Lower) Clam Bay &#8211; that is an indisputable fact. And hence no motor boat access from the Gulf to Seagate and vice-versa.</p>
<p>If Seagate can obtain deep water access to its properties these properties &#8211; according to Dr. Buser &#8211; would increase in value by at least $1,000,000 each. Since there are apparently 70 affected homes this would mean an increase in taxable property by the city of Naples of $70,000,000! I am sure Naples would be very happy to see such a windfall in its taxable properties.</p>
<p>As I mentioned earlier the solution was already presented to the CZM years ago. Build a small lift bridge on Seagate Drive leading out to Naples Cay. Such a lift bridge would be operated by remote control by a boater (like you may have a remote control to open your own garage door) &#8211; and would remain open for say 4 minutes giving a boater ample time to proceed safely. Once beyond the bridge the Seagate resident would have open and deep waters and exit the Gulf at Doctor&#8217;s Pass.</p>
<p>The city, with a $70,000,000 windfall in taxable property values, would recover the cost of such a bridge within a few years.</p>
<p>BENEFITS:</p>
<p>a.- Seagate gets direct access to the Gulf<br />
b.- All necessary permits are controlled by the city<br />
c.- No effect on the NRPA<br />
d.- No approvals from any Pelican Bay entity<br />
e.- The city would control all applications<br />
f.-  Taxable Property values would increase<br />
g.- The city would in the long run obtain additional income<br />
h.- Every one would be pleased</p>
<p>Ask Dr Buser why he has not pursued this remedy?</p>

<p>Many years ago, when I finished my service in the South African Air Force as a draftee, I traveled to Israel with my long time neighborhood friend, Michael. We stayed on several kibbutzim, or communal farms, in Israel and in one instance an older woman sold us phone tokens and threw the change back at us for no reason. Obviously we were stunned at this rude behavior and asked around what her problem was. It turned out she was a holocaust survivor.</p>
<p>I was reminded of this behavior when I saw the recording of the Board of Collier County Commissioner meeting on 3-26-2013, when a Hispanic public speaker raised the issue that there was an impression in the Hispanic community of discrimination by the block of three commissioners, who typically vote together, in the firing of a person employed by the county.</p>
<p>Commissioner Georgia Hiller took that as an opportunity to throw a tirade at the speaker shouting out loud that her family were murdered and that her mother was a holocaust survivor and that she took great offense in his suggestion of ‘discrimination’. Her one sided argument went of for a while, while the speaker was told not to interrupt.</p>
<p>The commissioner used the horrific events of the holocaust to defend any perception that she may be discriminating. Just because her family may have suffered discrimination does not imply that she does not discriminate. The one has nothing to do with the other. Even if a person suffered discrimination first hand, the experience does not then &#8216;train&#8217; them to not discriminate against others. I find the example she used offensive to all holocaust survivors, because she used the <strong>Nazi Holocaust to defend her political position</strong>.</p>
<p>Commissioner Georgia Hiller is in fact a ‘second generation’ survivor and she shows traits that have been well documented and studied. She is in fact suffering from the affects of trauma on her parents. She is in fact a certain &#8220;psychological profile&#8221;, one who may suffer in her own personal relationships, in life’s perspectives, jobs and may have suffered tremendously in their upbringing.</p>
<p>It is well documented that many holocaust survivors rushed into marriage and children with little or no emotional attraction to their partners. It was a rush to reproduce, to recover as quickly as possible what was lost forever. Many remained in these loveless marriages and the children suffered and lost out on the nurturing provided by loving couples.</p>
<p>It’s also known that first generation holocaust survivors were over consumed with their children, to the point of suffocation, to cause them to be exceedingly sensitive or overly anxious and protective about their children. None of these traits are healthy for a child.</p>
<p>On the positive side, they appear to be hard workers and diligent in their efforts to complete tasks.</p>
<p>With all that said, I understand that they are ‘different’ that maybe they need some slack, but when it comes to outrage, to public disruption, outbursts of anger and emotion, should this personality be in public service?</p>

<p>Fact: <span style="color: #0070c0;">The 80 foot dredge was used once in violation of state and Federal regulations to obtain sand for Clam Pass Public Beach. Clam bay is a Natural Resources Protection Area (NRPA) and dredging is only for the health of the mangroves not for sand or to enhance navigation. The 80 foot dredge caused beach erosion and within a year narrowed to the equilibrium channel of approximately 30 feet. This is an unnecessary waste of money because you pay according to the amount of sand you remove.</span></p>
<p>Fact: <span style="color: #0070c0;">Dr. Buser is wrong again. As stated above there was erosion and the natural course is to return to the equilibrium channel which should have been the dredge cut to begin with and not incurred unnecessary expense for excessive dredging. The current problem is the absence of the ebshoal that has been incorporated into the widened beach. Without an ebshoal the pass will remain vulnerable. In time nature will develop a new ebshoal at the pass but it is a question of time. If we have no sustained Gulf winds in will form and become a protective barrier.</span></p>
<p>Fact: <span style="color: #0070c0;">The permit required that all excavated sand had to be placed above the Mean High Water Line. Since any dredge causes some beach erosion the law requires that sand must be placed north and south of the pass to compensate for the erosion whether the property is private or public. Any additional sand that is placed on beach that is used by Pelican Bay is being paid. Pelican Bay has always paid for its beach renourishment in spite of the financial contribution it makes to the tourist tax..</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Fact: </span><span style="color: #0070c0;">Dr. Buser either doesn&#8217;t understand the process or the law or both.</span></p>
<p>Fact: <span style="color: #0070c0;">There is no question that this is an unfortunate turn of events but it sits with Dr. Buser and his commissioner, Mr. Coyle.</span><span style="color: #0070c0; font-family: Calibri;"> All of the Clam Pass fiasco reverts to their mismanagement.</span></p>
<p>Fact: <span style="color: #0070c0;">Yes, the county wasted $250,000 trying to get a permit approved based on false information. More money has been wasted contesting Dr. Buser&#8217;s desire to convert Clam Pass into a private Seagate navigation channel with the placement of red/green navigation markers. If he was successful it would ruin the county&#8217;s conservation gem and dwarf the cost dredging Wiggins Pass. The county finally dropped the request when the USCG added a requirement to do an environmental impact study that alone would have added $40,000. Because the county withdrew its request Dr. Buser has Seagate suing the county. I don&#8217;t know how much this is going to cost. Instead of having Commissioner Hiller there I would love to share the occasion with Dr. Buser and publically debate this issue.</span></p>
<p>Fact: <span style="color: #0070c0;">The Pelican Bay Services Division is an arm of county government, holds public meetings and answerable to the county commissioners. The overwhelming success of administering the first ten year permit affirms their ability to assume this responsibility. This is a conservation preserve much different from the navigation channels and beaches. CAC&#8217;s attempt to convert it into a navigation channel is reason enough to disqualify it.</span></p>
<p>Fact: <span style="color: #0070c0;">I agree that this is a wakeup call. We mustn&#8217;t let this happen again.</span></p>

<h3>Response from Doug Findlay</h3>
<p>I still don&#8217;t believe a mechanical dredging, with a backhoe, is going to last a projected 2 years, or anything close. Much more sand needs to be removed. Also, a 45 foot cut is too narrow. Should it be 60, or 80? Hard to say, but not 45.</p>
<p>Someone who should have known better got their arm twisted on this thing. The TDC spent $200,000 on a dredging that was closed off after two cold fronts. Had all known that, why not delay the operation until May or even June, when the cold fronts end. The mangroves were ok until the rainy season.</p>
<p>The whole thing is an embarrassment.</p>

<h3>My Take on the Matter</h3>
<p>Collier County Manager Leo Ochs, at the commissioner meeting 3-26-2013,  points a figure squarely at the engineers involved in this project. That was Humiston and Moore. Commissioner Coyle correctly pointed out at the meeting, the ridiculousness in paying more money to a company that failed with the first project. The planners should have taken into account the high probability of cold front storms at this time of the year. They did not. A minimal cut was made to allow a minimal amount of water and water depth, to enter the pass. This is inline with many conservationists ideals that would not like to see vessels moving in and out of the pass. They don&#8217;t want to see it as a navigable pass. That is why it was minimal, useless, a big waste of tax payer money, cut, to the tune of $200,000.00.</p>
<p>Commissioner Hiller stated that &#8216;we did it&#8217;. As in we, the board of commissioners decided on a very narrow cut. Commissioner Fiala quickly said that she did not, which leaves the infamous block of 3 commissioners (Hiller, Nance and Henning) having to bear the responsibility of persuading the engineers to ultimately fail in their mission.</p>
<p>Also, the muck removed from the pass is such poor quality, filled with shells and stones, its hardly considered &#8216;sand&#8217; and should be placed well offshore and not on the beach where the public walk. But this majority of 3 did exactly that. They placed that horrible shelly muck on the beach at Clam Pass.</p>
<p>Hiller said that its clear this is a difficult pass to manage. But, Commissioner Georgia Hiller, never has this pass gobbled up as much public funds, in such a short period of time, as on your watch and under your direction. If your MO during your time as commissioner was to avoid the misuse of public funds, you have failed miserably.</p>

<h2>This is obviously a very difficult time for all of us who are concerned about the environment within the Clam Bay Estuary.</h2>
<p>I must once again emphasize that the Collier County Staff had proposed an 80 foot dredge width and was on the verge of getting the final permit approved when their permit and efforts over a 2.5 year timespan were derailed by a vote by Hiller Henning and Nance granting the Pelican Bay Services Division (PBSD)  the exclusive right to make recommendations to the County Commission regarding management decisions for the Clam Pass Inlet and Estuary.</p>
<p>Interestingly the 80 foot dredge cut proposed was not a new radical idea (as some individuals in Pelican Bay wanted the public to believe).  Clam pass has been dredged to 80 feet in the past and it had no ill effects on the environment.  In fact, when dredged to 80 feet, Clam pass held up to numerous cold fronts and did not need re-dredging for many years.</p>
<p>We must all also ask the simple question, did the Pelican Bay Services Division make a recommendation to the County Commission that most of the dredged beach quality sand, from the first (failed) attempt at dredging Clam Pass , be placed on the private beach in front and adjacent to the Pelican Bay private beach club.  As we witnessed, the sand placed north of Clam Pass was not placed below the mean high tide line (public property).  Instead the sand was placed above the high tide line, which actually is Pelican Bay privately owned property.  This was all paid for with TDC funds.</p>
<ul>
<li>Did the Pelican Bay Services Division recommend this action to the Commissioners and allow the Commissioners to discuss this recommendation in a public forum, or did the PBSD simply make this decision themselves and take the sand away from the public beach?</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Due to one vote by three County Commissioners, most of Collier County and all of the City of Naples all now sit back and watch what appears to be amateur hour highlights, and continual re-runs, from the Pelican Bay Services Division and Hiller show.</li>
</ul>
<p>We can only hope that Hiller shows up yet again for another photo-op at Clam Pass.  How many more precious tourist tax dollars will be spent at the hands of Georgia Hiller to appease what appears to be an ever smaller group of her loyal followers in Pelican Bay.  More and more individuals in Pelican Bay are waking up to the reality of the political nightmare Hiller poses for all of Collier County.  Certainly the folks impacted by the adverse events at Dr.&#8217;s pass must be looking on with horror as the precious TDC funds are being drained away by the Pelican Bay Services Division.</p>
<p>Every crisis has a solution.  I have asked for the support of the Moorings Park Shore neighborhood and from Naples Cay to ask the County Commission to reverse their decision to take the power to make management recommedations for Clam Pass away from the Collier County Coastal Advisory Committee.  We must all recognize the fact that by diminishing the influence of the Coastal Advisory Committee, everyone in Collier County and the City of Naples is allowing the Pelican Bay Services Division the opportunity to directly access TDC funds.  I also have asked that we all support having the Naples City Council ask the Collier County commission to enforce the Ordinance that specifically states that the CAC will make management decisions for all beaches and inlets in Collier County.</p>
<p>These events should serve as a wake-up call, I hope the events at <a href="http://www.naples-fl-real-estate.com/2013/clam-pass-closed-again/">Clam Pass</a> serve as a full blown alarm to all citizens who rely on TDC funding for projects in their own communities.</p>

Several of its 5,000 citizens gathered together to stop the construction of the proposed Rookery Bay Road, slated to run through the area&#8217;s pristine Rookery Bay. A 30-foot-long, 1000-signature petition put a halt to the road&#8217;s development and signaled the formation of the Collier County Conservancy, a group determined to protect and preserve the bay.</p>
<p>Realizing that the only way to save the area was to have it established as a sanctuary, the group launched a campaign to purchase 2,600 acres already slated for development. Their grassroots campaign was a huge success, and in March 1966 the two-year-old group filed for incorporation with Collier County with the goal of &#8220;maintaining a widespread series of nature preserves and wildlife sanctuaries.&#8221; Three weeks later, the Rookery Bay Sanctuary was born.</p>
<p>Today, the <a href="http://www.naples-fl-real-estate.com/2013/conservancy-of-southwest-florida/"><strong>Conservancy of Southwest Florida</strong></a> is the area&#8217;s environmental leader, assisting with the protection of nearly 300,000 acres of environmentally sensitive land in southwest Florida. The group&#8217;s educational programs for children are designed to promote the most environmentally aware generation ever, and the wildlife centers continue to rehabilitate injured native birds, mammals and reptiles.</p>
<p>Its nature centers serve as the perfect environment for families to learn about Florida&#8217;s &#8220;wild side.&#8221;<br />
At the Briggs Nature Center located six miles north of Marco Island, you&#8217;ll meet residents of the mangrove/estuary ecosystem &#8211; a system second only to the rainforest in the diversity and productivity of its species.<br />
Walk through the Butterfly Garden, hike along the half-mile boardwalk or meander through the maze of mangroves during a guided boat tour, canoe trip or wilderness excursion. In the Interpretive Center, large aquariums are filled with Rookery Bay residents.</p>
<p>Birdwatchers flock to the Center, one of southwest Florida&#8217;s premier birdwatching &#8220;hot spots.&#8221; A wide variety of native and migratory birds are often easily spotted at the Center&#8217;s large bird feeding station, including eastern towees, scrub jays (on the threatened list), red-bellied woodpeckers, red-winged black birds and brown-headed cowbirds. A rare &#8220;snowbird,&#8221; the shiny cowbird, returns every September and annually tops the rare bird watch list.</p>
<p>From December through April, three different naturalist guided tours through Rookery Bay are offered aboard The Conservancy&#8217;s 30-foot covered pontoon boat, the Sea Queen, including: a morning back bay tour; a midday beachcombing and shelling trip to Key Island; and a sunset/birdwatching tour through the mangrove islands.<br />
Guided canoe trips are also available to the ABC Islands just off Marco Island, home to south Florida&#8217;s largest bird &#8220;rookery&#8221; &#8211; a favorite nesting and resting spot for thousands of water birds. At the Naples Nature Center, located at 14th Avenue North in Naples, you can touch a snake, count an alligator&#8217;s teeth and visit a special &#8220;hospital&#8221; for native wild animals. Join a naturalist-guided trail walk or take a boat ride through a mangrove forest.<img class="size-full wp-image-13812 alignright" title="Conservancy of Southwest Florida" alt="Conservancy of Southwest Florida" src="http://www.naples-fl-real-estate.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Conservancy-of-Southwest-Fl.jpg" width="333" height="439" /></p>
<p>Hands-on exhibits and special presentations are offered daily. Learn about southwest Florida&#8217;s native non-venomous snakes at 1 p.m. during a special presentation about the Center&#8217;s live resident reptiles. Every Tuesday and Thursday the snakes are fed during the presentation.</p>
<p>&#8220;Turtle Talks&#8221; are offered daily at 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the museum&#8217;s 2,200-gallon patch reef tank, home to a juvenile loggerhead sea turtle. What is an aquifer? Find out at the new Florida: Coast-to-Coast exhibit. Special presentations are offered daily at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. Learn about the many shells found in southwest Florida during the daily noon presentations or about the flora and fauna during the 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. guided walks.</p>
<p>The Naples Nature Center is also home to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, a hospital for injured native wildlife. Visitors can watch recuperating &#8220;patients&#8221; through the state-of-the-art online wildlife viewing system and see several of the Center&#8217;s permanent residents &#8211; all too injured to be able to survive again in the wild &#8211; including bald eagles, hawks and owls.<br />
The nature centers are open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays (January to March) from 1-5 p.m. Members of the <strong>Conservancy of Southwest Florida</strong> are admitted free.</p>
<p>The Conservancy also operates an environmental education department, the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, a water quality testing lab and the Sea Turtle Monitoring and Protection Project. Funding for the non-profit agency is dependent upon memberships and donations.</p>
