Google Racist Watermelon Olympic Games

Google Racist Watermelon Olympic Games The Google Doodle depicting a black athlete in the 2012 Olympic Games, has a possible racist tone.

What does a watermelon have to do with the British 2012 Olympics and the relationship between running a track race and running on a watermelon?

Its well known that the watermelon has been associated and depicted with the Negro American and particularly slaves, as in the picture on this post.

Why Google’s artist for the London 2012 Hurdles Google Doodle No. 12, couldn’t have chosen a plain green surface for his black athlete to run on is beyond me and we hope that Google has some reasoning for their choice of artwork.

Google owes an explanation and possibly an apology.

You can clearly see that the track looks more like a normal track than a fruit. This Google Doodle came before the Watermelon Google Doodle.
