Pine Ridge Middle School Activities

Pine Ridge Middle School Student Council is a service organization which participates in fund raising to benefit Pine Ridge Middle School and the Collier County community. Homerooms join in to collect food, sponsor families during holiday seasons, participate in relays and walks for charity. Student Council annually hosts the Halloween and Valentine’s Day Dances.

At Pine Ridge Middle School, we have a wonderful school newspaper called the Flipside. The purpose of the school newspaper is to provide information about activities on campus and to entertain the reader with puzzles and pictures.

Mathcounts is a Pine Ridge Middle School club designed to increase enthusiasm for to improve scores in middle school maths through team plus individual competitions.

The Pine Ridge Middle School Orchestra Department has three levels of orchestras. The top two orchestras have consistently received Superior Ratings at the Florida Orchestra Association District 18 Music Performance Assessment.

The Pine Ridge Middle School chapter of National Junior Honor Society is involved with community service projects within the community, fund raising activities at school and in the community, and special events at school to build school spirit and a sense of togetherness. Some of the activities in which the students have participated in the past include: Adopt a Family, Guatemala City Dump Project, Winter Dance, Heart Walk, Relay for Life, Toys for Tots, Kiss a Bullfrog Contest, End of the Year 8th Grade Dance, reading and working with elementary children
in Immokalee.
